Therapeutic Properties of Herbs

Herbology or herbalism is the branch of the science that deals with therapeutic properties of herbs. Therapies of real herbalists consist of the use of herbs, flowers, berries, barks, seeds and roots and consequently they are true, natural physicians. The herbalist carefully acknowledges that disease, apart from when is caused by trauma, is the result of the harm, intentional or otherwise, to the laws of nature. That is to say, germs cannot exist in detrimental amount for any length of time in or on tissue whose life and vitality is so high that the only way the disease can be overcome is to aid nature in the healing process by the elimination of the poisons and toxins through the body’s natural channels. In other words, disease cannot be cured by adding poisons to a battered body, but by get rid of such harmful substances through natural harmless detoxification processes such as with herbs and other naturopathic means, allowing the vitality to naturally return to its normal strength by aiding and assisting the healing body’s mechanisms in every possible natural way.
